Job summary

SearchApi is seeking a builder-designer hybrid who can design in Figma and ship in production with Rails+Hotwire. You own the front end from pixels to performance and care about a premium developer experience.

You will design dashboards, API playgrounds, and docs, turning data into honest visuals while keeping HTML-first, minimal JS, and fast load times. This is a fully remote role with equity and a lean, bootstrapped team.

Qualifications

• Production frontend you designed and built yourself.
• Server-rendered, component-based stack experience preferred (Rails + Hotwire).
• Strong eye for typography, spacing, and color systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship features from Figma to merged PR, using ViewComponents, Stimulus, and Tailwind.
• Own the dashboard experience including usage analytics, history, billing, and API keys.
• Build interactive API playgrounds with real requests and live JSON outputs.
