OFFICE OF THE UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN - ENGINEERING seeks a College Librarian III to manage and develop the Engineering Library collection. The role involves coordinating with engineering faculty for reference materials, providing advanced research assistance, and guiding students in databases and scholarly resources.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Library Science or Information Science (or Education with Library Science) and 2 years of relevant experience, plus 8 hours of training and RA

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or Information Science or Bachelor of Science in Education/Arts major in Library Science.
• 2 years of relevant experience.
• 8 hours of relevant training.
• RA 1080 (Librarian) certification.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and continuously develop the Engineering Library collection (books, journals, ebooks, standards, reports, theses, dissertations, patents, manuals).
• Conduct regular collection assessment and recommend acquisitions/withdrawals based on curriculum, faculty input, usage, and trends.
• Coordinate with Engineering faculty and departments to identify reference materials for instruction, labs, capstone projects, research, and accreditation.
• Provide specialized reference and research assistance in engineering topics, including literature searching, patent searching, standards searching, and information retrieval.
• Assist students and faculty in accessing electronic databases and digital resources, including journals and standards.
• Deliver information literacy sessions covering databases, literature reviews, reference management, citation practices, research ethics, and responsible use of AI in engineering research.
