Machinery Reliability Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electro-Hydraulic Controls & Instrumentation Technician to strengthen our capability in industrial equipment troubleshooting, repair, rehabilitation, and commissioning across the Philippines.

The role requires hands-on work with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and control systems, with travel to customer sites and field assignments nationwide. You will diagnose faults across electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical subsystems and implement

Qualifications

• Graduate of Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Instrumentation and Control, Industrial Electronics, or related technical course.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, automation, controls, instrumentation, or equipment servicing preferred.
• Strong practical experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, transmitters, relays, motor controls, and industrial control panels.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, rehabilitate, and commission industrial machinery and hydraulic equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, electronic, instrumentation, PLC, and control system faults.
• Troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems, including inputs, outputs, alarms, interlocks, and operating sequences.
• Back up, restore, load, and verify PLC and HMI programs supplied by equipment manufacturers.
• Troubleshoot sensors, switches, and transmitters (4-20 mA, analog, digital signals).
• Test and calibrate industrial instruments and switches.
• Read electrical, control, hydraulic diagrams and equipment manuals.

About the role

Machinery Reliability Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electro-Hydraulic Controls & Instrumentation Technician to strengthen our capability in industrial equipment troubleshooting, repair, rehabilitation, and commissioning. The successful candidate should have strong hands‑on experience in PLC controls, industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, sensors, VFDs, motor controls, and equipment troubleshooting. Experience in hydraulic systems is an advantage. The role will involve servicing and rehabilitating specialized industrial equipment, including PLC‑controlled machinery, hydraulic systems, instrumentation, control panels, pumps, motors, sensors, and other industrial process equipment. This position is best suited for a practical, hands‑on technician who can systematically determine whether an equipment fault originates from the electrical system, PLC, instrumentation, controls, hydraulic circuit, sensors, drives, or mechanical components.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, rehabilitate, and commission industrial machinery and hydraulic equipment.

• Diagnose electrical, electronic, instrumentation, PLC, and control system faults.

• Troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems, including inputs, outputs, alarms, interlocks, and operating sequences.

• Back up, restore, load, and verify PLC and HMI programs supplied by equipment manufacturers.

• Troubleshoot pressure, vacuum, temperature, flow, and level sensors, switches, and transmitters.

• Test and diagnose 4-20 mA, analog, digital, and other industrial control signals.

• Troubleshoot VFDs, relays, contactors, motor starters, motors, heaters, solenoid valves, and control circuits.

• Perform functional testing, adjustment, and calibration of industrial instruments and switches.

• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, control schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and equipment manuals.

• Repair and rehabilitate specialized industrial machinery and OEM equipment.

About you

• Graduate of Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Instrumentation and Control, Industrial Electronics, Electromechanical Technology, or a related technical course.

• At least 3 years of relevant hands‑on experience in industrial maintenance, automation, controls, instrumentation, or equipment servicing is preferred.

• Strong practical experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, transmitters, relays, motor controls, and industrial control panels.

• Good electrical troubleshooting skills using multimeters and other diagnostic instruments.

• Ability to trace wiring, identify faults, and systematically troubleshoot control circuits.

• Ability to read electrical, control, and instrumentation schematics.

• Willing to perform hands‑on field work and travel to customer sites throughout the Philippines.

• Able to work independently and solve equipment problems systematically.

• Comfortable troubleshooting unfamiliar equipment using electrical diagrams, PLC logic, OEM manuals, and structured diagnostic procedures.

Field Assignments and Travel

This position involves regular travel and temporary project assignments at customer sites.

Project work may require assignment outside Metro Manila, particularly in Central Luzon, depending on customer and project requirements.

During approved out‑of‑town project assignments, the Company provides:
