The ideal candidate has 6 months to 1 year of construction or electrical support experience and a willingness to learn additional tasks such as plumbing or fire suppression systems.

Qualifications

• Familiar with basic hand tools and electrical tools
• Willing to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced site environment
• Preferably 6 months to 1 year exposure in construction or electrical assistance
• Willing to learn related support activities (plumbing, welding, fire suppression systems)
• Physically fit for field and capable of field work

Responsibilities

• Assists in installing conduits (PVC, EMT, flexible) – cutting, bending support, bracket fixing
• Supports wiring activities: pulling, stripping, splicing, and routing cables as instructed
• Assists in mounting switches, outlets, basic fixtures, and junction boxes
• Supports panel board prep, breaker mounting, and circuit labeling under supervision
• Preps tools for testing (multimeters, continuity/polarity checks) as directed
• Supports PV (solar), basic CCTV runs, and FDAS mounting under guidance
• Follows daily assignments from the Site Supervisor/Electrician-in-Charge

JOB SUMMARY

The Electrical Helper supports electricians in electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair works in residential, commercial, and industrial sites, including assisting in wiring, panel works, and basic systems such as solar, CCTV, FDAS, motor controls, and water pump systems while following safety standards. He must have at least 6 months to 1 year experience in construction or electrical assistance, preferably TESDA NC II in Electrical Installation & Maintenance or willingness to train, with basic knowledge of tools, wiring, and electrical safety practices. Must be willing to learn, can follow instructions, work in a fast-paced site environment, and physically fit for field work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Electrical Assistance

• Assists in installing conduits (PVC, EMT, flexible) – cutting, bending support, bracket fixing
• Supports wiring activities: pulling, stripping, splicing, and routing cables as instructed
• Assists in mounting switches, outlets, basic fixtures, and junction boxes
• Supports panel board prep, breaker mounting, and circuit labeling under supervision
• Preps tools for testing (multimeters, continuity/polarity checks) as directed
• Supports PV (solar), basic CCTV runs, and FDAS mounting under guidance

2. Troubleshooting Support

• Assists in tracing wiring routes and locating loose or damaged connections
• Preps replacement materials (wires, outlets, fixtures) for repairs
• Preps tools, breakers, or lock-out tags to support isolation procedures

3. Site Operations Support

• Follows daily assignments from the Site Supervisor/Electrician-in-Charge
• Preps work areas, tools, materials, and safety gear before tasks
• Assists in lifting/hauling materials (cable drums, panels, generators, conduits)
• Reports material shortages or damage immediately
• Assists in work at heights under safety monitoring

4. Tools & Equipment Care

• Operates basic tools (test pens, crimpers, drills, grinders) under instruction
• Cleans and stores tools/materials after use
• Cuts and measures accurately to avoid waste
• Reports missing or damaged tools immediately

5. Safety & Compliance

• Follows PPE and hazard control instructions
• Handles live/non-live circuits only under supervision
• Attends toolbox meetings and follows risk-mitigation directives
• Reports unsafe acts, near-misses, or hazards without delay

6. Quality Support

• Keeps cable routes and conduits neat and secured as instructed
• Self-checks output before supervisor inspection
• Assists in labeling and securing circuits/cables after work
