Job description

• Assemble, install, test, repair, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
• Installs conduits and pipes to electrical wires and cables
• Ensures piping complies with electrical codes
• Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them
• Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity
• Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation
• Read technical diagrams and blueprints
• Perform general electrical maintenance.
• Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Prepare construction sites, materials, and tools
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
• Remove debris, garbage, and dangerous materials from sites
• Assemble and break down barricades, temporary structures, and scaffolding
• Assist with transport and operation of heavy machinery and equipment
• Follow all health and safety regulations
• Perform all duties assigned by the Project Manager, Project-in-Charge, foreman, or superior
• Carry material and supplies from trucks to job site so they can be ready for installation or other tasks
• Test equipment and machinery to ensure it is in good working order
• Clean up job site at the end of the day and ensure all equipment is properly secure for the night

Qualifications
