Job summary

ATLAS CIRCUITS INC. seeks an Electrical Engineer Estimator to evaluate project requirements and prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical systems.

You will review drawings and specifications, perform quantity take-offs, analyze labor and material needs, and coordinate with suppliers for pricing. In this role, you will prepare bid proposals, collaborate with engineers and project managers, and monitor costs during construction to improve future estimates.

Qualifications

• Review project specs and drawings to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Perform quantity take-offs for electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, LV systems).
• Analyze labor, material and time requirements for each project.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and availability.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications and docs to prepare cost estimates for electrical work.
• Conduct quantity take-offs for electrical systems.
• Analyze labor, material and time requirements for each project.
• Prepare and present bid proposals and quotations to clients or internal departments.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for up-to-date pricing.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide value engineering recommendations.

• Monitor actual costs during construction and compare with estimates to improve accuracy.
• Maintain and update estimating tools and records.
