Job summary

AMD Electrical Contractors Inc. is seeking a Cost Estimator – Electrical Engineer to prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and pricing for electrical projects. You will interpret electrical plans, review specifications, and ensure competitive bids.

The role requires 2–3 years of relevant experience, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, and proficiency in Excel; AutoCAD is an advantage. You will coordinate with suppliers and project teams and maintain price databases.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Electrical Engineering.
• Licensed or Non-Licensed Electrical Engineer may apply.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in estimation, construction, design, or project engineering.
• Able to read electrical plans and specs.
• Proficient in MS Excel; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates, BOQs, and quantity take-offs.
• Review drawings, specs, scope, and project requirements.
• Calculate material, labor, equipment, and installation costs.
• Prepare cost breakdowns and pricing summaries for bids.
• canvass supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, engineers, and project teams.
• Identify discrepancies, scope gaps, and potential cost risks.
• Assist in preparing technical and commercial bid proposals.
• Conduct site visits to validate quantities and conditions.
• Maintain updated pricing databases for electrical materials, equipment, and labor.
