EGP SMART ENERGY PTE. LTD is seeking an early‑career Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of EHV power transmission projects.
The role offers 1–2 years of project exposure in Singapore with potential deployment to Malaysia, working with design reviews, installation, testing and commissioning. To support the delivery of Extra High Voltage (EHV) power transmission projects through engineering coordination, site supervision, testing and commissioning, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and in accordance with client requirements and applicable standards.
The role will undergo approximately 1–2 years of project exposure and development in Singapore, with potential longer-term deployment to Malaysia based on business and project requirements.
Support design reviews, installation, testing and commissioning of EHV/HV substations and transmission systems.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal project teams.
Ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards, client specifications and project requirements.
Assist the Project Manager in project schedules, material approvals, documentation and site coordination.
Supervise site works including cable termination, SF₆ handling, HV testing and system energisation.
Prepare and review technical documents, test reports, checklists and as-built drawings.
Ensure compliance with safety, QA/QC and risk management requirements.
Support regional projects and deployment where required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Specialist Diploma in Construction Productivity (SDCP) is an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of power transmission and distribution systems.
Experience in EHV/HV substation installation, testing or commissioning is preferred.
Exposure to high-voltage testing, GIS, transformers, protection systems and SF₆ handling is advantageous.
Proactive, quick learner and willing to work in site-based environments.
Proficiency in English and Chinese, both written and spoken, to communicate with relevant stakeholders and partners.
