Job summary

EGP SMART ENERGY PTE. LTD is seeking an early‑career Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of EHV power transmission projects.

The role offers 1–2 years of project exposure in Singapore with potential deployment to Malaysia, working with design reviews, installation, testing and commissioning. You will collaborate with clients and internal teams, ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards, and assist the Project Manager with schedules, documentation and site coordination while gaining

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
SDCP is an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of power transmission and distribution systems.
Experience in EHV/HV substation installation, testing or commissioning is preferred.
Exposure to high-voltage testing, GIS, transformers, protection systems and SF₆ handling is advantageous.
Proactive, quick learner and willing to work in site-based environments.
Willing to undergo 1–2 years of training in Singapore and deployment to Malaysia.
Proficiency in English and Chinese, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

Support design reviews, installation, testing and commissioning of EHV/HV substations.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal project teams.
Ensure IEC/IEEE standards and client specifications are met.
Assist the Project Manager with project schedules, material approvals, documentation and site coordination.
Supervise site works including cable termination, SF₆ handling, HV testing and energisation.
Prepare and review technical documents, test reports and as-built drawings.
Ensure safety, QA/QC and risk management compliance.
Support regional projects and deployment as required.
