Job description

Are you an experienced electrical engineer ready to shape design standards for a truly global engineering team? Then this role is for you.

As Electrical Engineer within our Global Engineering Team (GET), you will support the design, review and technical standards of electrical systems for engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client specifications and regulatory requirements.

Based in our Manila office, you will work internally within the GET group to study, review and maintain our company brand design standard, reporting to the Principal Engineer, Associate Director and Manila-based Directors.

Design standards and technical governance

You will assist in the review of Stage 2 and Stage 3 design development to ensure alignment with the Black & White Eningeering Brand Design Standard, supporting the development and maintenance of technical standards, design guides and our technical knowledgebase.

Bid support and technical proposals

You will support the bid process by reviewing technical requirements and assisting in ensuring proposals meet client requirements.

Research and innovation

You will work with our Research and Development team to research and study the latest technologies and products, providing technical input where required.

Engineering calculations and design delivery

You will perform electrical engineering calculations and support the development of electrical designs in line with project requirements and applicable standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Licensed Electrical Engineer status is preferred.
• Proven experience working within a multidisciplinary design consulting firm for approximately 5 years.
• Experience handling large-scale projects; data centre design experience is an advantage.
• Proficient in designing electrical systems, including LV power systems, lighting, FDAS, earthing and lightning protection, and ELV systems such as security and telecom/data systems.
• Knowledge of design software such as Dialux, Amtech, ETAP, Navisworks and Bluebeam, or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of British Standards, NFPA and other relevant international codes and standards applicable to electrical design.
• Experience with MV power systems is an advantage, but not mandatory.
• Strong team player with good communication and coordination skills.
