We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and maintain electrical systems and equipment in our production facility, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and compliance with safety standards.
Job Objectives & Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance for all electrical systems, utility, and production equipment, including but not limited to power distribution systems, plastic molding machines, extrusion lines, chillers, compressors, HVAC units, and boilers. Ensure compliance with production plans and standards related to process and product quality.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure effective maintenance of electrical and automation systems, troubleshoot equipment issues, and implement corrective and preventive measures. Address potential electrical failures, system malfunctions, and non-conformances by coordinating with supervisors and team members.
- Manage the upkeep of electrical infrastructure, including circuit breakers, control panels, motor drives, PLCs, and instrumentation systems. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, electrical codes, and company policies.
- Conduct power quality analysis, load calculations, and energy efficiency initiatives to optimize plant operations and reduce energy consumption.
- Align maintenance operations with company policies and standards, including Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems), and other relevant certifications. Participate in internal audits and ensure compliance with management systems.
- Perform regular inspections of electrical systems, production facilities, and building perimeters to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Address any issues identified during inspections.
- Prepare and review maintenance reports, participate in root cause analyses of electrical failures, and provide recommendations to improve system reliability, reduce operational losses, and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities, electrical schematics, and work turnover notes. Monitor the performance of maintenance teams and provide guidance as needed.
- Perform other tasks and functions as may be assigned by the Immediate Supervisor, ensuring the smooth operation of the plant's electrical systems and equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional License (PRC) or eligibility for licensure is an advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, PLC programming, motor controls, and automation systems.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and reading technical diagrams.
- Familiarity with industry safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
