Job summary

One Outsource Direct Corporation in the Philippines seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead design verification and calculations for large commercial and industrial projects. You will review design documents, perform sizing, and support value engineering to meet performance targets.

This role requires strong communication with the Client's Consultant, RFI responses, and collaboration with CAD/BIM teams to deliver accurate drawings, data sheets, and commissioning parameters for site

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and Active PRC Registered Engineer.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience strictly focused on Electrical and Electronics engineering design, value engineering, and calculation verification for large commercial, industrial, MEPF, or EPC projects.
• Proven capability to immediately flag calculation discrepancies or design changes that alter material sizes so the budget and timeline can be adjusted.
• Strong professional communication skills to defend engineering calculations and negotiate design approvals directly with the Client's Consultant

Job description

• Load Calculations & System Sizing: Perform all technical calculations for Electrical and Electronics systems.

• Design Validation & Optimization: Review the design documents, identify optimization or value-engineering opportunities, and ensure the final design meets the project's performance requirements.

• Technical Submittal Approval: Evaluate vendor equipment data sheets, performance curves, and material choices to ensure they perfectly match the calculated engineering requirements before purchasing.

• RFI Resolution: Provide engineering solutions and calculations to answer complex Requests for Information (RFIs) when site conditions conflict with the original design.

• Maintain an accurate digital material ledger tracking all raw inventory, current stock levels, and project-allocated components

• Design Instruction to CAD/BIM: Provide clear design parameters, and calculation outputs to the CAD and BIM teams so they can produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D models.

• Testing & Commissioning Parameters: Define the technical pass/fail criteria, pressure-testing limits, and commissioning parameters for the site construction and QA/QC teams to follow.

• Prepare weekly and monthly engineering reports
