Job Summary

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to handle electrical, automation, and control systems for our electrospinning manufacturing equipment. The role covers electrical design, PLC/HMI programming, troubleshooting, equipment commissioning, and technical support for both R&D and production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems, control panels, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Program and commission PLC/HMI automation systems.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot high-voltage electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot motors, drives, sensors, control panels, and instrumentation.
• Monitor electrical safety systems, including grounding and interlocks.
• Integrate sensors for temperature, humidity, voltage, current, and other process controls.
• Support R&D in developing and scaling lab equipment into production systems.
• Coordinate with vendors, panel builders, and automation integrators.
• Maintain electrical drawings, SOPs, manuals, and maintenance records.
• Ensure electrical systems comply with applicable safety and electrical standards.
• Work closely with Process Engineering, R&D, Production, and Quality Control teams.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Licensed Electrical Engineer (PEE) is preferred.
• At least 5 years of industrial electrical/control engineering experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience with high-voltage systems is required.
• Experience with PLC programming and HMI configuration.
• Knowledge of electrical schematics and design software such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
• Knowledge of industrial controls, sensors, instrumentation, and electrical safety.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good English communication skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with electrospinning, nonwoven, nanofiber, or similar equipment.
• Experience with temperature/humidity or cleanroom control systems.
• Experience in a PEZA-registered manufacturing facility.
• Experience supporting both R&D and production equipment.
• Knowledge of SCADA or data-logging systems.
• Experience working with electrical panel vendors or automation integrators.
