AboitizPower in Lapu City, Cebu, Philippines is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to maintain electrical and control systems and drive system improvements for reliable operations.

The role requires licensed engineering credentials and 2–3 years of power plant experience, with knowledge of SCADA/PLC maintenance and safety compliance. You will collaborate with the maintenance team to deliver results and contribute to a sustainable energy future.

Qualifications

• Licensed engineer with Electrical/ Electronics/Instrumentation and Control specialization.
• 2-3 years experience in power plant or allied industry.
• Project experience: 2-3 years in power plant.

Responsibilities

• Conducts preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment, including OT such as SCADA and PLC.
• Performs condition-based monitoring and inputs data into CMMS (Maximo or similar).
• Conducts routine inspection of auxiliary and other electrical equipment at regular intervals.

Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

As Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance of electrical and control equipment by conducting preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure continuous operation, and for conducting system improvement for better protection and convenience in operation, and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with Maintenance team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Conducts preventive and corrective maintenance activities on all electrical and instrumentation equipment including Operational Technologies (OT) not limited to Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) as directed by the E&I Supervisor in accordance with the Maintenance program.
• Conducts condition-based monitoring programs as specified in Work Instructions and input them in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) which may not be limited to Maximo.
• Conducts routine inspection of auxiliary and other electrical equipment on a regular interval.

To Succeed in this Role, we need someone who:

• Knowledge of diesel plant operation and maintenance
• Knowledge and experience in electrical power control system
• Experience in fault analysis and resolution
• Ability to read electrical and control diagrams
• Experience in handling low, medium and high voltage equipment
• Interpersonal and Communication Skills
• Analysis and decision-making
• Knowledge and experience in health, safety and environmental laws and regulations
