Job summary

Coherent Corp. in the Philippines seeks an experienced EHS leader to drive emergency preparedness, safety, and regulatory compliance across the site. The role includes developing programs, training the Emergency Response Team, and ensuring a safe working environment.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in Sciences/Engineering/EHS, a SO4 safety officer certification, and eight years of safety experience with program development in manufacturing. Onsite work in Rosario, Batangas is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Engineering or EHS; Master’s degree preferred.
• SO4 safety officer certification required.
• At least eight years of safety/health experience, with four years in program development and implementation.
• Experience in manufacturing in the Philippines is required.
• Ability to manage upwards and laterally across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead emergency preparedness program and train/ equip the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
• Maintain highest standards of workplace safety and conduct effective inspections.
• Develop and implement safety and health programs to meet government standards.
• Record and coordinate all plant-wide accidents and incidents per policies.
• Educate and drill all employees on safety policies and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and 14001 standards.
