Job summary

Dempsey Resource Management Inc. is seeking a qualified Pollution Control Officer / Safety Officer to lead the company's EHS programs at our Clark, Pampanga site.

The role requires ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and sustaining ISO EMS and OSH standards on site. You will conduct risk assessments, audits, and training, oversee contractor EHS work, and serve as the liaison with regulatory agencies while coordinating company-wide safety initiatives and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in B.S. Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any related engineering courses.
• At least five (5) years of experience as a Pollution Control Officer or Safety Officer in industrial/manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO Environmental Management System, Occupational Health, and Safety Management System.
• Experience in Responsible Business Alliance Certification is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of local and national regulations on Environment and Health.
• Ability to plan and execute company-wide audits, implement corrective actions, and prepare for third-party and regulatory inspections.

Responsibilities

• Implement and continuously improve the company’s EMS aligned with ISO, ensuring docs and records support audits.
• Ensure compliance with local/national environment and health laws and maintain certifications.
• Lead risk assessments, investigations, root-cause analysis, and preventive actions.
• Oversee on-site EHS requirements for contractors and ensure compliance.
• Provide EHS training to employees to raise awareness of policies.
• Liaise with regulators during inspections, investigations, and audits.

• 5. Customer Audit and CSR : Manage customer audits and CSR activities

Job Description

• 1. Implement and continuously improve the company’s EHS management system (EMS) aligned with ISO principles, ensuring documentation, procedures, and records support audit readiness.
• 2. Ensure adherence to local and national Environment and Health laws. This includes the maintenance of the company’s current certifications, environmental permits, and staying up-to-date on emerging health and safety regulations.
• 3. Lead risk assessments, investigations into accidents, root cause analysis, and implementing preventive corrective actions to reduce incident frequency and severity.
• 4. Oversee EHS requirements for contractors working on-site to ensure their compliance with health and safety regulations.
• 5. Provide EHS training to employees to increase awareness and understanding of workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
• 6. Serve as the company’s primary liaison with regulatory agencies, during inspections, investigations, and audits.
