Qualifications

Responsibilities

Carry out continuous process operation following procedures and work instructions.
Modify PLC and operator interface programs with approval.
Configure drives and instruments and submit documentation.
Implement new electrical, instrumentation, and automation designs.
Analyze control data to identify deviations and implement solutions.
Troubleshoot PLC, operator interface, VFDs and instrumentation systems.
Install cables and terminate wires for instrumentation and networks.
Perform preventive maintenance on substations and distribution systems.
Operate and troubleshoot power distribution and automation systems.
Check spare-parts status and report discrepancies.

Job description

Carry out continuous process operation in accordance with standard procedures and work instructions
Check and modify PLC and electronic operator interface programs with superior approval
Configure smart drives and instruments and submit required documentation
Implement new electrical, instrumentation, and automation system designs
Analyze process control data and parameters to identify deviations and implement solutions
Troubleshoot PLC, electronic operator interface, soft starter, VFD, instrumentation, electrical, automation, communication, and computer network systems
Install cables and conduits and terminate wires for instrumentation, electrical installations, communication systems, and computer networks
Prepare and execute preventive maintenance for electric power substations, distribution systems, and electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems
Operate and troubleshoot electric power substation and distribution systems
Check spare-parts status and report discrepancies to the supervisor
Review and update electrical, instrumentation, and automation drawings and records
Generate technical reports and operating instructions and conduct training for new installations or modifications
Maintain tools, test instruments, workshops, offices, safety, cleanliness, and orderly filing
Follow operation manuals, procedures, and safe work practices
