Job summary

LaVie is seeking a Duty Engineer to support daily operations of the Engineering Department, ensuring proper maintenance and functionality of the property's facilities and systems. You will supervise and perform scheduled servicing of MEPF systems and coordinate maintenance activities to resolve operational and guest-related concerns.

Responsibilities include scheduling, fuel and spare parts management, and assisting in special projects to maintain safe, reliable building operations.

Qualifications

• Licensed Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with active license.
• Minimum 1 year experience in hotel, mall, property management, or engineering operations.
• Knowledge of chilled water systems, electrical substations, water distribution, and fire protection systems.
• Strong communication across all levels of the organization and with external parties.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining efficient engineering operations and supporting all departments.
• Supervise and perform scheduled servicing of MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection) systems.
• Monitor fuel deliveries, storage, and usage in accordance with established procedures.
• Assist in preparing weekly work schedules based on workload and priorities.
• Oversee maintenance requests and ensure timely completion, especially guest-related concerns.
• Supervise special projects and day-to-day engineering activities.
• Manage spare parts inventory and prepare orders to maintain emergency stock levels.
• Handle guest and associate inquiries professionally, escalating issues when necessary.

Job Brief

Job Qualifications
