Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and continuous operation of all building electrical and electromechanical systems. This includes power distribution, lighting, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing support systems, and water supply facilities. The role involves overseeing maintenance activities, troubleshooting equipment issues, supervising technical personnel, coordinating with contractors, and maintaining accurate operational records to ensure optimal facility performance and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. System Operations

Ensure continuous, efficient, and safe operation of building systems including:

Electrical power distribution systems

Lighting systems

Ventilation systems

Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment

Plumbing and water supply systems

Monitor system performance and respond promptly to operational issues.

Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential risks and abnormalities.

Ensure compliance with applicable electrical, building, safety, and environmental regulations.

Support emergency response activities and implement corrective measures during equipment failures or utility disruptions.

2. Maintenance and Repair

Plan and implement preventive maintenance programs for all assigned building equipment and systems.

Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root cause analysis of electrical and mechanical equipment failures.

Coordinate and oversee repair activities to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.

Review maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of work orders.

Recommend equipment upgrades, replacements, and process improvements to enhance system reliability and energy efficiency.

3. Team Supervision

Supervise and provide technical guidance to shift technicians and maintenance personnel.

Assign, prioritize, and monitor daily work orders and maintenance tasks.

Evaluate technician performance and ensure adherence to established procedures and safety standards.

Conduct toolbox meetings and technical training sessions to improve team competency.

Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe work practices.

4. Vendor and Contractor Coordination

Coordinate and supervise the activities of third-party contractors, suppliers, and service providers.

Review contractor work scopes and monitor project execution to ensure compliance with specifications and safety requirements.

Verify quality of services performed by vendors and ensure timely completion of contracted work.

Assist in evaluating contractor performance and recommending service improvements.

Coordinate procurement requirements for maintenance materials, spare parts, and service contracts.

Qualifications:
