Qualifications

Responsibilities

As a Distribution Development Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for power system analysis and reports on power quality improvement, distribution impact and distribution development, taking into full consideration all local and national regulations in place. The position is responsible in determining how reliable the Company's power system is and recommends plans and provides solutions on the condition and development of the distribution network of the Company's franchise. You will work closely with the Power System Planning team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Conducting power engineering studies such as, but not limited to, Load Transfers, Load Flow, Reliability Analysis and Distribution Impact Studies where the total load or generation is below 5MW, using power system simulation software and computer aided spreadsheets for maintenance works, project implementation, load balancing, new customer connections and other related requirements resulting to the least amount of opportunity loss and ensure efficient and reliable service to the customers. Conduct of Distribution Impact Studies where the total load or generation is 5MW or above, and system studies related to distribution network enhancement up to subtransmission level shall be performed with the consultation to the section Senior Engineer or supervision of the section Supervisor.

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

• Registered Electrical Engineer

Technical / Functional Skills:

• Ability to handle, process, and validate large sets of interval meter and customer data.

• Preparing regular forecasts of energy and demand (per substation, cluster, and loop) to form the basis for CapEx budget preparations and project proposals .

• Capability to conduct studies such as Load Transfers, Load Flow, Reliability Analysis, and Distribution Impact Studies

• Preparing updated distribution diagrams that reflect proposed network projects

• Can prepare regulatory reports and ensure systems compliance.
