Job summary

Excel Trucking is seeking a Dispatcher in Cebu City to coordinate the shipping process for a mid-sized truckload operation. You will track all active loads, communicate with drivers and customers, and ensure timely loading and deliveries.

The role emphasizes strong communication, organization, and multitasking to manage competing priorities and meet schedules. You will work with Safety/Shop and Fleet Manager to handle breakdowns and incidents.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of truckload operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track all active loads for the assigned fleet.
• Oversee detention notifications, rate confirmations, and revenue collection.
• Build loads as requested; manage inbound/outbound calls and emails.
• Assist Primary Fleet Manager with load confirmations.
• Maintain daily contact with units to confirm availability.
• Facilitate breakdown and accident reporting with Safety/Shop/Manager.

Company Overview:

Excel Trucking is a midsize full truckload carrier headquartered in Grove City, Ohio that offers reliable and punctual deliveries of dry goods. Boasting a fleet of 120 power units, 250 dry-van trailers, and nearly 170 skilled drivers and employees. A Dispatcher core responsibility is to track all active shipments (1) hour prior to the scheduled pick up, every (30) minutes while at the shipper until the conclusion of the loading period. Dispatchers serve as a central contact point for both truck drivers and customers, coordinating the shipping process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Track all active loads associated with the assigned fleet.
• Oversee Detention Notification process, Obtainment of revised Rate Con and Revenue Collection
• Build loads as requested.
• Phone- Inbound/Outbound Calls
• Samsara Messaging- Inbound/Outbound
• E-Mails- Inbound/Outbound
• Assisting Primary Fleet Manager with Load Confirmations
• Daily contact of assigned units to confirm availability.
• Facilitate Breakdown and Accident Reporting (along with Safety/Shop/Primary Fleet Manager)

KPI’s

• On time Service 93% average (Assigned Fleet)
• Follow up on all missing BOL’s.

Qualifications:

• Two or more years of operations experience in the truckload is preferred.
• Must have excellent communication skills - interpersonal, verbal, written, and be able to interact well with others in a team environment as well as with our customers and vendors.
• Knowledge in basic computing and typing of 45 WPM or more is a must.
• Organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to establish and prioritize workload in order to meet the team and company goals using good business judgment.
• Must be able to lead and manage competing priorities by multi-tasking and meeting all deadlines.
