Overview of Position
Operate radio, telephone, or computer equipment at Dispatch Room. Receive calls from Clients/Patients and received reports from the Team Leader/Treatment Officer/Transport Officer. Relay information to Shift Duty Manager/Senior Duty Manager. May maintain contact with Clients/Patients until responders arrive.
Major Task
- Answers direct calls of Clients/Patients.
- Determine response requirements and relative priorities of situations, and dispatch units in accordance with established procedures.
- Search files, databases or reference materials to obtain needed information.
- Coordinate operational activities to Shift Duty Manager and/or Senior Duty Manager.
- Responsible for the proper documentation of Record details of calls, dispatches, and messages and other pertinent forms.
- Always maintains radio contact with all allocated ambulances.
- Act as navigator en route to the patient.
- Maintain good appearance, good grooming, and come always in full uniform as prescribed by the Company.
Occasional Task
- Participates in lectures, seminars, and meetings required by management
- Maintains an adequate level of physical fitness as required by the rigors of the job.
- Performs all other duties attuned with the company’s line of work as may be assigned by the Shift Duty Manager, Operations Manager, or the Medical Director
Required Skills, Education and Trainings/Seminars:
- College Graduate/Undergraduate and Vocational Course Graduate
- EMT training from an accredited institution (either basic, advanced, or paramedic)
- Updated Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Update Basic Life Support
- Updated IV training course
Preferred Skills, Experience and Background:
- Registered Nurse or any other background in healthcare
- At least 6 months to 1 year of experience as an EMT in the ambulance
- Can drive automatic and manual vehicle
- With Professional Driver’s License
