Job summary

The role emphasizes accuracy, documentation of calls and messages, and maintaining proper uniform. EMT training and driver’s license are preferred; RN background welcomed; 6 months to 1 year EMT experience is valued.

Qualifications

• EMT training from an accredited institution (basic, advanced or paramedic).
• Updated Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Updated Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Updated IV training course.
• College/Undergraduate or Vocational graduate.

Responsibilities

• Answers direct calls of Clients/Patients.
• Determine response requirements and priorities and dispatch units accordingly.
• Search files or databases to obtain needed information.
• Coordinate activities to Shift Duty Manager or Senior Duty Manager.
• Document call records, dispatches and messages accurately.
• Maintain radio contact with allocated ambulances.
• Act as navigator en route to the patient.
• Maintain full uniform as prescribed by the Company.
