Responsibilities

• Transport patients: Safely and efficiently drive the ambulance to emergency scenes, hospitals, and other medical facilities.
• Patient care support: Assist paramedics and medical personnel with the loading and unloading of patients, ensuring comfort and safety during transit.
• Equipment management: Ensure the ambulance is stocked with necessary medical supplies and equipment and report any discrepancies or maintenance issues.
• Compliance: Follow all road safety laws, emergency driving protocols, and organizational policies while responding to emergency calls.
• Maintenance and cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness of the ambulance, perform routine checks, and ensure the vehicle is in optimal working condition.
• Documentation: Assist in completing patient transport forms and reports as required by the healthcare facility or ambulance service.
• Emergency response: Remain calm and efficient in high‑pressure, emergency situations.

Qualifications

• At least with knowledge/experience when it comes to Basic Life Support, First Aid, and possible ambulatory related.
• Valid Driver's License: A current and valid driver’s license is required, with a clean driving record.
• Experience: Previous experience as a driver, especially in an emergency response setting, is preferred but not required.
• Physical fitness: Ability to lift patients, assist with their movement, and perform any required physical tasks.
• Knowledge: Basic knowledge of emergency vehicle operations and road safety is advantageous.
• Communication skills: Strong verbal communication skills to coordinate effectively with medical staff and emergency responders.
