Job summary

Fairmont Makati seeks an experienced Stewarding leader to oversee daily operations, drive sanitation, and guide a large team in a luxury hotel setting.

You will manage inventory, budget, and sustainability initiatives while maintaining peak service levels and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
• Minimum of five years of progressive Stewarding leadership experience.
• Experience managing large teams in luxury hotel operations.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, HACCP, and stewarding operations.
• Budget management and cost-control familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Stewarding operations to ensure cleanliness and readiness.
• Lead and develop the Stewarding team while upholding luxury standards.
• Maintain hygiene through inspections and quality controls.
• Oversee inventory, storage, and presentation of china, glassware, and cutlery.
• Monitor breakage trends and implement cost-control measures.
• Manage the Stewarding budget and overall financial performance.
• Champion waste-management and sustainability initiatives.

Job Description

• Oversees daily Stewarding operations, ensuring impeccable standards of cleanliness, sanitation, hygiene, and kitchen readiness.
• Leads and develops the Stewarding team, ensuring adherence to luxury service, health and safety, and hotel standards.
• Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation through regular inspections and meticulous quality controls
• Oversee the inventory, storage, care, and presentation of china, glassware, cutlery, and operating supplies and equipment
• Conduct regular inventories, monitor breakage trends, and implement effective cost-control and loss-prevention measures
• Manage the Stewarding Department’s budget, payroll, operating expenses, and overall financial performance.
• Champion responsible waste-management practices and sustainability initiatives in alignment with the property’s environmental commitments.
• Maintain flexible availability to support operational requirements and ensure seamless service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field, with experience in luxury hotel operations preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive Stewarding leadership experience, including managing large teams and driving operational excellence.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to maintain high service and quality standards.
• Comprehensive knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, food safety, HACCP, and stewarding operations, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and budget management.
