Job summary

Ajaia is hiring a Director of IT & Security to own the full scope of internal IT operations, information security, and compliance across a multi‑cloud, multi‑country organization. This is a hands‑on leadership role focusing on building and maintaining systems, policies, and infrastructure that keep the company secure while enabling automation.

You will manage internal IT, security posture, and compliance (HIPAA, SOC 2, vendor risk) in a fast‑moving, AI‑first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Cybersecurity or equivalent.
• 8+ years in IT ops, security, cloud, or compliance.
• Hands‑on with multi‑cloud (GCP & Azure).
• Experience in HIPAA/SOC 2 compliance and audits.
• Security policies, access controls and incident response.
• Identity management, endpoint and network security fundamentals.
• AI tools and automation to reduce operations.
• Effective written and oral communication in a distributed environment.

Responsibilities

• Own internal IT operations, information security, and compliance across multi‑cloud, multi‑country org.
• Hands‑on leadership with potential to build a small team as the company scales.
• Use AI tools to automate routine tasks, improve monitoring, and speed outputs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and translate security concepts for non‑technical audiences.
