Job summary

Ajaia | AI Consultancy is seeking a remote Technical Project Manager to drive AI builds from kickoff to production. You will triage requests, manage multiple moving parts, and ensure on-time, in-scope delivery with transparent reporting.

You will write code when faster than explaining what to build and collaborate with a New York-based team. You will work with US client calls, standups, and status updates, staying aligned with overlap hours.

Qualifications

• Two or more years in technical delivery, program management, or a comparable role.
• Available for at least 7 to 8 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern time (9am to 6pm ET).
• Reads code and specs well enough to say what will break in production.
• Clear and honest client communication in written and spoken English.
• AI fluent: uses AI daily to draft, build, and check work.
• Comfortable making priority calls under pressure and owning them.

Responsibilities

• Build working automations and scripts when that solves the problem faster than a meeting would.
• Read the code. Call out specifically what will break in production, not just whether the ticket is checked off.
• Keep a lot of moving parts straight: backlog, risk list, three deadlines, and client calls.
• Triage ruthlessly: decide what gets worked now and what waits.
• Write to clients with plain, specific, and honest updates, even when the news is not great.
• Run client calls and standups on US Eastern time and be reachable during overlap.
• Own the delivery plan end-to-end: sequencing, dependencies, and dates.
