Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end collections operations to meet performance targets and service levels.
• Manage large, multi-layered teams including Senior Operations Managers, Operations Managers, and Team Leaders.
• Develop strategies to improve collection recovery, productivity, and overall service delivery.
• Oversee workforce planning, capacity management, resource utilization and operational performance.
• Drive profitability, budgeting and cost-optimisation initiatives within the collections function.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Collections Operations to provide strategic leadership across large-scale collections operations, financial performance, and business transformation initiatives.

This role is ideal for a senior operations leader with extensive experience in collections management, strong financial and commercial acumen, and a proven ability to lead high-performing teams.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, optimising financial performance, strengthening collections strategies, and implementing sustainable business improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Leadership & Performance

• Lead and oversee end-to-end collections operations, ensuring achievement of performance targets, service levels, and business objectives.
• Manage large operational teams through multiple management layers, including Senior Operations Managers, Operations Managers, and Team Leaders.
• Develop strategies to improve collection recovery rates, productivity, operational efficiency, and service delivery.
• Oversee workforce planning, capacity management, resource utilisation, and operational performance.

Financial & Commercial Management

• Manage operational budgets, Profit & Loss (P&L) performance, and cost optimisation initiatives.
• Drive profitability, financial planning, and strategic resource allocation.
• Participate in Request for Proposal (RFP) activities, including operational solution development, costing, and business presentations.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial performance and reduce operational costs.

Collections Strategy & Risk Management

• Develop and implement effective B2B and/or B2C collections strategies.
• Oversee delinquency management, debt recovery, credit risk mitigation, and collections performance.
• Strengthen Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and related financial operational processes.
