Job summary

Lao Taipei in Pasig, Philippines is seeking a Dimsum Maker with experience in a Chinese or Taiwanese restaurant. Responsibilities include preparing and making dimsum items such as siomai, dumplings, hakaw, buns; follow standard recipes; maintain hygiene and kitchen safety; handle FIFO and labeling; work on shifting schedules including weekends and holidays.

Ideal candidate is a High School graduate; vocational or culinary training is an advantage; must be able to wrap, steam, and cook dimsum;

Qualifications

• High school graduate; vocational or culinary training is an advantage.
• Experience as a Dimsum Maker.
• Experience in a Chinese or Taiwanese restaurant is highly preferred.
• Knowledgeable in preparing and making various dimsum products such as siomai, dumplings, hakaw, buns and related items.
• Skilled in mixing, wrapping, shaping, steaming and cooking dimsum per recipes.
• Familiar with proper food handling, sanitation and kitchen safety procedures.
• Able to follow standard recipes,portioning and quality standards consistently.
• Knowledge of proper food storage, labeling and FIFO procedures.
• Able to maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation and kitchen equipment.
• Good teamwork, communication skills, and a positive work attitude.
• Willing to work shifting schedules, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dimsum items according to standard recipes.
• Wrap, wrap, shape, and steam dimsum products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation and kitchen equipment.
• Adhere to food safety, labeling and FIFO procedures.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure quality and timely service.
