Job summary

Viatechnik Inc. in Makati seeks an engineering professional with BIM experience to support design and construction model management. You will review drawings and models, ensure constructability, and coordinate with the VDC team to align with client requirements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, instructions, and other requirements to ensure successful management of projects.
• Review 2D plans and 3D models to ensure model geometry integrity and data based on design docs.
• Coordinate with the VDC team to ensure design elements meet plans, specs, and client requirements.
• Generate clash detection reports to identify constructability issues and clashes.
• Provide detailed checklists and overlays to catch errors before construction starts.
• Review quantity take-offs across Civil, Landscape, Structural, Architectural and MEPF.
• Perform quality checks on models for completeness and accuracy.
• Conduct model sanity checks for data duplication and system continuity.
• Learn and utilize industry tools like Bluebeam, BIM360, Precogs, Synchro, Navisworks, Ideate.
• Assess digital process compliance based on playbooks.

Job description

Responsibilities:

1. Review drawings, specifications, instructions, and other requirements to ensure successful management of projects
2. Review 2D plans and 3D models prepared by the Virtual Design and Construction Team to help ensure integrity of the model geometry, constructability and data based on the design documentation
3. Coordinate with the Virtual Design and Construction team to ensure elements of design are in accordance with the plans, specifications, and client requirements
4. Generate clash detection reports to ensure the model is free of constructability issues and clashes
5. Provide detailed checklists, overlays of all drawings and filed experienced staff to catch potentially costly errors before physical construction starts
6. Review and perform Quantity take-offs in all trades (Civil, Landscape, Structural, Architectural and MEPF) if necessary.
7. Perform various Quality Checks on the Models to validate models for aspects like model completeness
8. Conduct model sanity – checking duplication of data, errors and omissions, continuity of systems between the different points of connection
9. Learn and utilize industry leading software such as Bluebeam, BIM360, Precogs, Synchro, Navisworks, Ideate to audit construction models from the Virtual Design and Construction team
10. Assess digital process compliance of the Virtual Design and Construction team based on process playbooks

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any engineering-related course
• Must have basic plan reading knowledge (MEPF, Landscape, Structural, Architectural, and Civil)
• Experience with digital tools such as Revit, Bluebeam and Navisworks is an added advantage
• Willing to work in Makati
