Job summary

Viatechnik Inc. is seeking a qualified engineer to manage multi-disciplinary MEPF projects using BIM/VDC tools in Makati.

The role involves reviewing drawings and models, coordinating with the VDC team, and generating clash reports to ensure constructability and data integrity. The candidate should have a Bachelor's in mechanical/electrical engineering, basic plan-reading knowledge, and familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, and Navisworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Basic plan reading knowledge across MEFP, Landscape, Structural, Architectural and Civil.
• Experience with digital tools like Revit, Bluebeam and Navisworks is an advantage.
• Willing to work in Makati.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, instructions, and other requirements to manage projects effectively.
• Review 2D plans and 3D models from the VDC Team to ensure geometry integrity and constructability.
• Coordinate with the VDC team to ensure designs meet plans, specs, and client requirements.
• Generate clash detection reports to confirm model is free of constructability issues.
• Provide checklists and overlays to catch errors before construction starts.
• Perform quantity take-offs in Civil, Landscape, Structural, Architectural and MEPF as needed.
• Conduct various quality checks on models to validate completeness.
• Conduct model sanity checks for data duplication, errors, omissions, and system continuity.
• Learn and utilize industry-leading software (Bluebeam, BIM360, Precogs, Synchro, Navisworks, Ideate) to audit models.
• Assess digital process compliance based on process playbooks.

Job description

Responsibilities:

1. Review drawings, specifications, instructions, and other requirements to ensure successful management of projects
2. Review 2D plans and 3D models prepared by the Virtual Design and Construction Team to help ensure integrity of the model geometry, constructability and data based on the design documentation
3. Coordinate with the Virtual Design and Construction team to ensure elements of design are in accordance with the plans, specifications, and client requirements
4. Generate clash detection reports to ensure the model is free of constructability issues and clashes
5. Provide detailed checklists, overlays of all drawings and filed experienced staff to catch potentially costly errors before physical construction starts
6. Review and perform Quantity take-offs in all trades (Civil, Landscape, Structural, Architectural and MEPF) if necessary.
7. Perform various Quality Checks on the Models to validate models for aspects like model completeness
8. Conduct model sanity - checking duplication of data, errors and omissions, continuity of systems between the different points of connection
9. Learn and utilize industry leading software such as Bluebeam, BIM360, Precogs, Synchro, Navisworks, Ideate to audit construction models from the Virtual Design and Construction team
10. Assess digital process compliance of the Virtual Design and Construction team based on process playbooks

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any engineering-related course
• Must have basic plan reading knowledge (MEPF, Landscape, Structural, Architectural, and Civil)
• Experience with digital tools such as Revit, Bluebeam and Navisworks is an added advantage
• Willing to work in Makati
