Q2 HR Solutions Inc. is seeking a Die & Mould Technician to support manufacturing by diagnosing tooling defects, conducting die trials, and repairing using conventional machines. The role involves troubleshooting, fabrication work, and guiding junior technicians.
Qualified candidates have a Mechatronics background with at least 5 years in die/mould maintenance and hands-on experience with milling, drilling, and grinding. Leadership experience is a plus.
The Die & Mould Technician supports manufacturing operations by diagnosing tooling-related defects, conducting die trials, troubleshooting abnormalities, and carrying out repair and fabrication work using conventional machines.
Inspect product output and identify die, mould, stamping, or fabrication-related abnormalities.
Perform structured problem analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct die trials, troubleshooting, repairs, adjustments, and fabrication activities.
Operate conventional milling, drilling, and grinding machines safely and accurately.
Document findings, actions taken, and results of trial or repair activities.
Guide junior technicians and share practical solutions based on technical analysis.
Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality teams to minimize downtime and recurrence.
Graduate of Mechatronics Technology or a closely related technical program.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in die/mould maintenance, press stamping, machining, or tooling support.
Hands-on capability in conventional milling, drilling, and grinding machines.
Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action skills.
Able to interpret product output and identify tooling-related defects.
Leadership or people-management experience is an advantage.
