Job summary

Q2 HR Solutions is seeking a Die & Mould Engineer in the Philippines to analyze tooling-related production issues, plan corrective actions, and support die trials and fabrication. The role focuses on driving process improvements that enhance product quality and equipment reliability.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of die/mould engineering experience, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Leadership experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in die/mould engineering, tooling, stamping, machining, or manufacturing engineering.
• Working knowledge of milling, drilling, and grinding machines.
• Strong analytical, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action skills.
• Knowledge of 8D Problem Solving is an advantage.
• Leadership or people-management experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Analyze defects to determine origins in dies, moulds, stamping, machining, or fabrication processes.
• Lead die trials, troubleshooting, technical analysis, and validation of corrective actions.
• Develop and recommend corrective and preventive countermeasures to reduce repeat defects and downtime.
• Support repair, modification, improvement, and fabrication of tooling components.
• Use or oversee conventional milling, drilling, and grinding machines as required.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to production, quality, and management.
• Coach technicians on technical solutions and proper troubleshooting methods.
• Apply structured problem-solving methods such as 8D where appropriate.

About the role
