About the role
The Die & Mould Engineer is responsible for analyzing tooling-related production issues, planning corrective actions, supporting die trials and fabrication, and driving process improvements that improve product quality and equipment reliability.
Key responsibilities
Analyze product defects and determine whether abnormalities originate from dies, moulds, stamping, machining, or fabrication processes.
Lead die trials, troubleshooting, technical analysis, and validation of corrective actions.
Develop and recommend corrective and preventive countermeasures to reduce repeat defects and downtime.
Support repair, modification, improvement, and fabrication of tooling components.
Use or oversee the use of conventional milling, drilling, and grinding machines as required.
Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to production, quality, and management.
Coach technicians on technical solutions and proper troubleshooting methods.
Apply structured problem-solving methods such as 8D where appropriate.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in die/mould engineering, press stamping, tooling, machining, or manufacturing engineering.
Working knowledge of conventional milling, drilling, and grinding machines.
Strong analytical, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action skills.
Knowledge of 8D Problem Solving is an advantage.
Leadership or people-management experience is an advantage.
