Black & White Engineering is a multi-award-winning engineering consultancy with more than 1,300 employees across the UK, Europe, Middle East, North America and Asia Pacific.
We specialize in the full spectrum of engineering design consultancy for the data centre sector, including Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP), Civil & Structural, Design Management, Sustainability, BIM, Power Systems, and other infrastructure-related services.
Our engineering expertise reaches across all sectors of the construction industry, providing pragmatic and practical design solutions that ensure projects are both spatially and operationally efficient. Our design process fully considers installation and maintenance practicalities on site.
Due to our continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Design Delivery Coordinator to join our One Global Team. This role will support the coordination and delivery of design packages across our Global Design Hub (GDH), working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and regional stakeholders to ensure design deliverables are completed in line with project requirements, schedules, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate design deliverables assigned to Global Design Hub (GDH) teams throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation and design briefing to design production, stage-gate reviews, and close-out.
- Facilitate coordination across multidisciplinary design teams, ensuring that interfaces, dependencies, responsibilities, and required actions are clearly identified and tracked.
- Support collaboration between GDH teams, regional technical teams, and other stakeholders by coordinating meetings, tracking actions and decisions, and monitoring outstanding requirements and approvals.
- Maintain design delivery documentation and project controls, including work-package requests, deliverable registers, coordination trackers, risk and issue registers, decision logs, and change logs.
- Monitor design workflows, schedules, milestones, and deliverable status against agreed requirements and target dates, identifying potential delays and escalating issues to the appropriate design lead.
- Support design reviews, quality assurance activities, and stage-gate processes by checking deliverable completeness and coordinating review workflows in accordance with project requirements and procedures.
- Prepare and circulate meeting agendas, minutes, action registers, progress updates, and other design delivery communications.
- Prepare reports and dashboards covering design progress, outstanding actions, risks, changes, resource requirements, and delivery forecasts.
- Assist with resource monitoring and forecasting by maintaining accurate records of work-package requirements, team allocations, workload, priorities, and anticipated delivery demands.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design delivery processes, templates, documentation, and tools by gathering feedback and capturing lessons learned.
- Perform other related coordination activities as required to support project delivery and business objectives.
