Job summary

Manulife Financial's Global Derivative Services supports derivative trading across multiple entities and funds, handling back-office tasks from trade life cycle to settlements and reporting. The role requires extensive knowledge of swaps, futures, and options, with collaboration across Front Office and Solutions teams.

You will drive accuracy and efficiency in trade processing, confirmations, reconciliations, and collateral management while adapting to regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics and equivalent experience in derivatives back- or middle-office.
• Minimum 5 years in Investment/Derivatives with emphasis on trade life-cycle and settlements.
• Excellent analytical skills, high accuracy, and problem solving.
• Strong organizational skills and adaptability to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Establish relationships with business unit managers and traders to ensure timely trade life-cycle.
• Stay current with global regulatory changes related to derivatives reform and advise on internal controls.
• Coordinate with Accounting and Middle Office on valuation and data integrity issues.
• Develop understanding of derivatives landscape and impact of global reform.
• Oversee each component of the derivatives back office and act as escalation point for stakeholders.
• Oversee operations analysts.
