Job summary

Asiacargo is seeking a DC Senior Manager to oversee daily inbound shipments (imported and local) and the load plan for outbound operations. The role includes reviewing manpower, resolving prior day issues, and ensuring equipment and consumables meet daily needs.

The candidate will conduct security observations, verify systems (WMS/MMS), and report to the DC director. A Bachelor’s degree and 5–10 years in a similar role are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in any course.
• At least 5–10 years’ experience in the same position.
• Excellent organizational skills and be proactive.

Responsibilities

• Check expected inbound shipments for the day (imported and local).
• Check load plan for the day (outbound).
• Review manpower attendance for the day based on expected volume.
• Review issues from the previous day and ensure they are resolved.
• Review equipment count for the day based on expected volume: forklifts, trucks, containers, pallet jacks, RF guns, tablets.
• Ensure DC has enough pallets, stretch film and other consumables.
• Verify WMS and MMS are functioning; escalate to IT if not.
• Review service level of the previous day; plan recovery for unserved picklists.
• Perform perimeter and DC floor walk twice daily (morning and afternoon).
• Spend 30 minutes in internal security room to observe the DC.
• Ensure new deployed employees have watched Audio-Visual processes and are trained on tasks.
• Check if reports from the previous day are completed.
• Report issues to DC director and perform other tasks as assigned by top management.

• Review manpower attendance for the day if sufficient based on expected volume
• Review issues of the previous day if solved
• Review equipment count if sufficient based on expected volume for the day

• Check if WMS and MMS are working correctly, otherwise raise to IT immediately
• Review service level of previous day, check unserved picklists and plan how to recover
• Do perimeter and DC floor walk 2x a day (1 morning, 1 afternoon)
