Job summary

J&T Express Distribution Center is seeking a Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations, including inventory control, sorting, loading and unloading, and performance monitoring of regular and agency personnel to ensure on-time deliveries.

The role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication, and the ability to implement processes, improve service standards, and coordinate with Fleet and DC teams to minimize costs and maximize customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Warehouse Management, Business Administration, or similar field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Supervisor, preferably in logistics.
• Strong background in Logistics Operations or E-Commerce.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the Distribution Center and Warehouse functions including inventory, physical distribution, sorting, maintenance and record keeping as well as control of stocks at all times.
• Evaluates the system of distribution, inventory management, outsourcing, warehouse management system, and other supply chain integration initiatives.
• Ensures delays and claims are coordinated with Fleet Supervisor and DC Manager immediately.
• Plans and leads the sorting and warehouse personnel in executing their tasks.
• Maintains teamwork and high productivity and enforces company rules and regulations.
• Monitors capacity and communicates with stakeholders to minimize cost to serve and impact to customers.
• Recommends options and game plans for warehousing and sorting activities.
• Investigates failures, identifies root causes, and drives continuous improvement.
• Oversees recruitment, training, and leadership of Sorters and Warehouse personnel.

Job description

The Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for the management and operations of the warehouse and ensure compliance of sorting and warehouse personnel on the standard procedures upon arrival (unloading), sorting, and departure (loading) of parcels in the trucks including the monitoring of the performance of both regular and agency hired personnel to ensure positive results.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. 1. Graduate of Warehouse Management, Business Administration, Business Management, or similar field.
2. 2. With at least 5 years experience as Supervisor, preferably in a related field.
3. 3. Strong background in Logistics Operations or E-Commerce.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. 1. Oversees the Distribution Center and Warehouse functions including inventory, physical distribution, sorting, maintenance and record keeping as well as control of stocks at all times.
2. 2. Evaluates the system of distribution, inventory management, outsourcing, warehouse management system, and other supply chain integration initiatives.
3. 3. Ensures that shipment or delivery delays and claims due to damage or pilferages are coordinated to Fleet Supervisor and DC Manager immediately.
4. 4. Plans and leads the sorting and warehouse personnel in systematically executing their specific tasks.
5. 5. Maintains teamwork and high productivity among subordinates and administers the implementation of systems, procedures, and rules and regulations of the company.
6. 6. Monitor distribution capacity and communicate with key stakeholders to develop plans in case of gaps in order to minimize cost to serve and impact to customers.
7. 7. Recommend options and game plans for warehousing and sorting activities.
8. 8. Investigate failures, identify, and understand root causes, as well as drive, continues improvement.
9. 9. Oversee recruitment, training, and lead J&T Express’ Sorters and Warehouse personnel.
10. Conduct regular meetings, orientation, and training as deemed necessary in ensuring smooth DC operation
