Responsibilities
Ensure efficient and safe operation of the department.
Check all deliveries and resolve discrepancies.
Decide which suppliers' trucks are unloaded with priority.
Advises how suppliers should pack pallets for offloading.
Informs the Logistic Manager about new items or packaging changes.
Receives deliveries personally and supervises accordingly.
Monitors at least 10 deliveries daily where feasible.
Decides working hours and tasks of staff if they report to him/her.
Informs Logistics Manager about arrivals of new items or changed packaging/sizes.
Informs Purchaser of region about returns to supplier.
Executes additional tasks as directed by Logistics Manager.

Reporting to:
Logistics Manager
Targets of the position:
Ensures an efficient and safe operation of his department.
Ensures correct inventory and reduce inventory losses by good quality controls.
Specific powers and Responsibilities:
Checks all deliveries completely and ensures that discrepancies are being resolved. He/She needs to control all deliveries in terms of visible problems: damaged packaging, wrong volumes, old delivery dates, high temperature etc.
Checks whether incoming goods have a valid barcode and can be read by our POS (scanners).
Decides which suppliers’ trucks are unloaded with priority and decides on the gates where they are offloaded.
Checks the incoming and returning of packages and loading utility like pallets or baskets.
Advises how supplier have to pack pallets when offloading.
In any case, he/she also receives deliveries himself/herself and control them accordingly.
Checks at least 10 deliveries daily which were being received by receiving staff, if in case he/she has staff reporting to him/her.
Decides about the working hours and tasks of his staff, in case he/she has staff reporting to him.
Informs the Logistic Manager about the arrival of new items or items with new or changed packaging and sizes.
Informs the Purchaser of the region in case goods should be returned to the supplier.
Executes additional tasks he/she is asked to do by his Logistics Manager.
