Job summary

ERNI in Metro Manila (Mandaluyong) is seeking a Database Administrator to join our expanding software development team. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and tune databases across Microsoft SQL Server, Azure PostgreSQL, Oracle Database and Snowflake, ensuring high availability and data security in a hybrid cloud environment.

You will work with application, infrastructure and development teams, contribute to migrations and platform upgrades, and automate routine tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in database administration and production support.
• Hands-on with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure PostgreSQL Flexible Server.
• Knowledge of Oracle Database and Snowflake is an advantage.
• Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, database security, and access management.
• Experience with migrations and platform upgrades.
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure and OCI.
• Basic scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, SQL, Bash.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot database issues and provide appropriate solutions.
• Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and configuration reviews.
• Manage routine backups, recovery, and health checks.

• Assist with moving databases between cloud and self-hosted environments.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
