Job summary

ERNI - Swiss Software Engineering is seeking a Senior Developer for its Manila hub. The role focuses on ERP development and maintenance, mentoring peers, and design/analysis of system enhancements for on-prem and cloud applications.

The candidate will coordinate with business users, prepare technical documents, and contribute to flexible, high-quality software projects across MedTech, Industry, Finance, and Transportation domains in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• At least 8 years in Oracle E-Business Suite HRMS and Financials.
• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL and SQL scripting.
• Familiar with Oracle Workflow and reporting tools (XML Publisher, Oracle Reports).
• Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Git.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Mentor team members and share knowledge on ERP applications, especially HCM across platforms.
• Collaborate with project teammates to ensure functional/technical requirements.
• Adapt new technologies to implement systems/solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain applications per standards.
• Create documentation for designs, codes, and configurations.
• Provide technical assistance to developers and troubleshoot issues.
• Support user acceptance testing and bug fixes.
• Assist in system integration and data migration tasks.

What are our wishes?

Education Requirement and Work Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• At least 8 years of experience in the implementation and support of Oracle E-Business Suite, particularly in HRMS (HR, Payroll and Benefits modules) and Financials (GL, AP, CM, TR, AR modules);
• Familiarity with Oracle relational databases and multi-tiered application concepts
• Experience in the custom application design and development and its integration into the main Oracle E-Business Suite

Technical Knowledge

• At least 6 years of experience and advanced knowledge in Oracle PL/SQL; can create complex SQL scripts;
• Solid years of experience in Oracle Workflow
• Solid years of experience in Oracle Reporting Tools (e.g. XML Publisher, Oracle Reports Builder, html Reporting)
• Solid years of experience in data analysis, data integration, data conversion / migration
• Extensive knowledge of system development life cycle (SDLC) and utilization in system development projects
• Familiar with the Agile Methodology, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and GIT

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

About the Role:In addition to systems development and maintenance of on-prem and cloud applications, the Senior Developer’s role includes mentoring and coaching of other developers, design and analysis of system enhancements, coordination with business users as needed, user training support, and creation of functional and technical documents.

Scope of Work/Responsibilities

• Mentor team members and share knowledge related to providing technical support for ERP applications, primarily for Human Capital Management, across various platforms
• Work closely with project team members, business analysts, QA, and end users to ensure adherence to functional and technical requirements
• Adapt emerging technologies and techniques to implement new systems/solutions
• Implement ways to reuse solutions across projects.
• Perform design and development of applications according to requirements.
• Design, code, and maintain systems based on established standards.
• Understand requirements and develop design specifications.
• Perform design reviews and recommend improvements.
• Write clear codes and prepare coding documentations.
• Provide technical assistance to other developers as needed.
• Analyze and troubleshoot system issues in a timely manner.
• Develop forms, reports, database procedures, UNIX shell scripts, workflows, alerts, integration scripts.
• Modify/Enhance existing codes for new functionalities and optimization
• Assist in system integration and user acceptance testing and perform bug fixes.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid, 3x times a week. If the user unit requires contractors to report to HQ for more than3 days, compliance is mandatory.

Work Schedule is from 8:00AM – 5:00PM Manila Time
