Job summary

ERNI is seeking a Senior Enterprise GIS Engineer to lead and support GIS platforms hosted on AWS, ensuring performance, security, and reliability. The role involves building APIs, microservices, and Web-GIS apps while aligning with enterprise standards.

You will work with ArcGIS Enterprise and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure), Kubernetes, Terraform, and DevOps practices in a hybrid setup, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in Enterprise GIS implementation and related tech.
• Strong hands-on with ArcGIS Enterprise, GeoServer, or GeoNode.
• Experience with AWS or Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Windows and Linux.
• Proficient in REST APIs, JavaScript, Python, C#, PostgreSQL, and PostGIS.
• Experience in Agile and DevOps with Scrum/Kanban and Azure DevOps.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

What are our wishes?

A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, GIS, Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 10 years of experience in Enterprise GIS implementation, cloud infrastructure, and Web-GIS application development.
• Strong experience with Enterprise GIS platforms such as Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, GeoServer, or GeoNode.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Windows, and Linux.
• Strong development experience using REST APIs, microservices, JavaScript, Python, C#, PostgreSQL, and PostGIS.
• Experience in system monitoring, patching, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments using Scrum, Kanban, and Azure DevOps.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external consultants.

Nice To Have

• Experience working within the Financial IT environment or a similar large enterprise.
• Knowledge of software engineering, information security, data privacy, and production deployment standards.
• Experience integrating GIS platforms with enterprise databases and business applications.
• Experience migrating ArcGIS applications, dashboards, StoryMaps, services, and GIS data.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog.
• Experience using AI tools or agents to improve team productivity.
• Relevant certifications in cloud, Kubernetes, DevOps, GIS, or information security.

How can you contribute to the team?

• Support and maintain Enterprise GIS environment hosted on AWS.
• Monitor system performance, security, availability, and capacity, and perform required updates and patches.
• Develop and maintain APIs, microservices, automation workflows, reports, and Web-GIS applications.
• Improve the usability, reliability, performance, and maintainability of existing GIS systems.
• Integrate Enterprise GIS with ADB databases, applications, and map-enabled business systems.
• Support the migration and handover of GIS applications developed by internal teams and external consultants.
• Ensure that GIS solutions comply with financial enterprise architecture, engineering, security, and deployment standards.
• Investigate production issues, resolve service requests, and support users and application owners.
• Participate in Scrum, Kanban, planning sessions, status meetings, and other team activities.
• Coordinate closely with the GIS Server Manager, Senior GIS Specialist, project teams, stakeholders, and consultants.
• Serve as backup to the GIS Server Manager and Administrator when required.

Work Arrangement

• RTO 3x, WFH 2x a week
• 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Mon-Fri)
