Job summary

CPS Asia Pacific client, a regulatory-compliance technology and consultancy firm, seeks a pragmatic Data Scientist to join the Market Intelligence team. The role focuses on turning large, multi-source datasets into actionable intelligence and dashboards.

You will work with AI tools, build and refine data workflows, and collaborate across internal teams to deliver accurate insights for regulators and clients. Onsite night shift at One Ayala Makati.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist in data analysis, reporting, and problem-solving.
• Experience with international companies is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, and advanced Excel/spreadsheet modeling.
• Expertise in data structures and identifying data quality issues.
• Ability to use AI tools and validate AI outputs; attention to detail.

Our client is a regulatory-compliance technology and consultancy firm working with government and tribal gaming regulators.

We are seeking a pragmatic, resourceful, and intellectually curious Data Scientist to join our client’s Market Intelligence team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with large, complex datasets, solving ambiguous problems, and turning data into clear, actionable intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, and improve existing data workflows, models, and dashboards.

Conduct exploratory, descriptive, and quantitative analysis across large, multi-source datasets.

Produce recurring and ad hoc reports, market intelligence, and analytical deliverables for internal stakeholders and clients.

Improve existing data cleaning, classification, categorization, and adjustment logic to enhance accuracy and reliability.

Identify structural issues within datasets and workflows and drive solutions in collaboration with the team.

Use AI tools extensively for analysis, research, and delivery while applying sound judgment and validating outputs.

Document methodologies, assumptions, and processes to ensure analyses are transparent and reproducible.

Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders on data-driven projects.

Perform other relevant tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, particularly in data analysis, reporting, and problem-solving.

Previous experience working for an international company.

Strong working knowledge of:

• SQL

• Advanced Excel / Spreadsheet Modeling

Strong understanding of data structures and the ability to identify structural issues and inconsistencies.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to investigate and resolve inaccurate or incongruous outputs.

Proficiency with AI tools, with the ability to adapt to emerging technologies and verify AI-generated outputs.

Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.

Highly self-directed, resourceful, and proactive, with the ability to handle ambiguous and complex problems with minimal supervision.

Strong ownership and accountability for the accuracy and quality of work.

Good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar Business Intelligence tools.

Experience being personally accountable for the accuracy of key business metrics or data.

Experience working with large, multi-source datasets.

Background in Market Intelligence, Business Intelligence, Analytics, Research, or a related field.
