Job summary

Apex Fintech Solutions is seeking a Manager, Data Engineering to lead the Data Tools team and shape our foundational data infrastructure supporting governance and real-time processing across the platform.

You will wear multiple hats from strategic planning to hands-on execution, guiding a high-performing engineering group in a fast-paced fintech environment to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance data solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, data engineering or related field.
6+ years of hands-on data engineering experience with 2+ years in a people management role.
Experience in FinTech or high-growth environments; familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Jira/Confluence.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Data Tools engineering team from conception to production.
Partner with product managers, data scientists, and business leaders to define scope and deliverables across the data platform lifecycle.
Build and mentor a high-performing team emphasizing continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and PI planning.
Own the technical strategy and architecture for data governance infrastructure and real-time processing solutions.
Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks with transparent stakeholder communication.
Coordinate resource allocation and prioritization across multiple initiatives to ensure timely delivery.
Establish and enforce data engineering best practices, governance standards, and security protocols.
