Job summary

Job description

We are looking for a hands-on Data Migration Technical Lead to join our team. You will take ownership of complex, high-volume data migration programs from inception through to go-live. You will work directly with clients to gather requirements, design source-to-target mappings, build and execute migration pipelines, and drive quality outcomes across every stage of delivery. This is a dual-facing position: you will be a trusted technical authority in client rooms and a practitioner who rolls their sleeves up to write SQL, build ETL jobs, and resolve data quality issues.

Technical Delivery

• Produce and maintain source-to-target mapping specifications, data dictionaries, and transformation design documents.
• Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines using tooling such as Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Talend, or open-source equivalents.
• Write and optimize SQL for data profiling, extraction, deduplication, cleansing, and validation against legacy source systems.
• Develop Python (or equivalent) scripts to handle bespoke transformation logic and automation tasks.
• Execute migration runs, triage failures, and iterate through multiple mock and cutover cycles through to production readiness.
• Manage file and attachment migration workstreams

Technical Experience

• Delivered multiple end-to-end data migration and ETL projects in complex, multi-system environments.
• Demonstrated proficiency in SQL for legacy data profiling and transformation, and in at least one scripting language (Python preferred) for automation.
• Hands-on experience with one or more enterprise ETL tools: Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Talend, or comparable open-source tooling.
• Managed high-volume data loads with an understanding of API bulk patterns, rate limits, and governor constraints.

Nice to haves:

• Experience with Salesforce or other CRM data migrations.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure Synapse, Databricks, Snowflake).
• Exposure to data governance frameworks or MDM tooling.
• Certifications in relevant platforms (e.g. Azure Data Engineer, Informatica).
