Emapta Philippines is seeking a Data Engineering Specialist to reliably troubleshoot data pipelines using SQL, Python, and AWS. This 6-month project-based role offers permanent work-from-home with night shifts and international exposure.

You will own complex data fixes, drive root-cause analysis, and deliver solid data solutions for global clients. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in data engineering, strong SQL skills, Python proficiency, and experience with cloud data tools such as AWS,

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience in data engineering, database management, or a comparable data-focused role.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL expertise with complex queries, CTEs, joins and data extraction across sources.
• Working proficiency in Python with data-related scripts.
• Practical experience with AWS and cloud-based data technologies; knowledge of MySQL, Redshift, Athena, and S3 preferred.
• Open to a 6-month project-based engagement; able to adapt to cloud platforms and fast-paced environments.

The Qualifications We Seek

• 3-5 years of professional experience in data engineering, database management, or a comparable data-focused technical role
• Intermediate to advanced SQL expertise, including complex queries, CTEs, joins, data extraction, validation, and analysis across multiple data sources
• Working proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience developing, debugging, maintaining, and enhancing data-related scripts
• Practical experience with AWS and cloud-based data technologies; knowledge of MySQL, Amazon Redshift, Athena, and S3 is preferred
• Ability to quickly adapt to established data platforms, cloud technologies, and workflows in fast-paced data engineering environments
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) may also be considered where cloud knowledge and technical skills are transferable
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving complex data and database issues
• Open to a 6-month project-based engagement
