Job summary

Nexus Recruitment Group is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and infrastructure supporting enterprise analytics and reporting. This role drives high‑quality data flows for operational decisions, regulatory reporting, and business intelligence across a shared services or financial services organization.

The ideal candidate will have ETL development and data modeling experience, plus hands-on work with cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or enterprise data management.
• Strong SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Java, or Scala).
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Snowflake, Databricks, or Airflow.
• Understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines from multiple sources.
• Collaborate with analysts and business users to define data needs.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and lineage with validation tools.
• Implement data models and warehouse structures for analytics and compliance.
• Automate data integration for real-time and batch processing.
• Partner with infra teams on performance, security, and availability.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Maintain docs on data architecture and pipeline logic.
