Job Description
As a DAM Migration and Integration Engineer with US, you will:
- Build and execute data migrations into Orange Logic andAprimo: extract assets and metadata from legacy DAMs, file shares, and spreadsheets; implement metadata crosswalks; transform, normalize, deduplicate, and validate data; and load assets and metadata through bulk import tooling and APIs.
- Develop and maintain integrations between DAM platforms and adjacent systems (CMS, PIM, MRM, creative tools, storage, and identity providers) using REST APIs, webhooks, platform SDKs, and middleware.
- Implement fixes and extensions to existing integrations from the requirements and defect reports the company's consultants produce after troubleshooting with the client, and confirm the fix with them before it ships.
- Write, test, and document Python code inour shared GitHub repositories, following our branching, pull request, and code review practices, so that your work is reusable across projects.
- Set up and operate cloud resources in AWS, Azure, and GCP to support migrations and integrations: object storage, identity and access controls, serverless functions, and secure bulk transfer of large asset sets.
- Support configuration of Orange Logic andAprimo environments to company's authored specifications where a project calls for it: metadata schemas and fields, taxonomies and controlled vocabularies, users, groups, and permissions, and workflows.
- Prototype AI-assisted capabilities such as automated metadata generation, tagging, and transcription using platform-native features and cloud AI services, and report on accuracy, cost, and fit.
- Perform structured quality assurance on data and system functionality: checksum and count reconciliation, sample-based metadata verification, regression checks after configuration changes, and clear written defect reports.
- Produce technical documentation for each engagement, including configuration records, mapping documents, runbooks, and hand-off notes, in a formthat the consultants and client IT teams can use.
- Troubleshoot platform, data, and integration issues withthe company's consultants and DAM vendor support teams, and propose fixes with a clear explanation of root cause.
- Join internal project stand-ups and, when your technical input is needed, client technical working sessions in a supporting role at the direction of thecompany's project lead.
- Contribute tothe company's internal tooling, scripts, and methodology, sharing what you learn so the whole team gets faster and more consistent.
Qualifications and Requirements
Your Skills
- You write clearly and concisely in English. Most of your work with the team will be asynchronous, so precise written updates, questions, and documentation matter as much as the code.
- You are highly detail-oriented and treat data accuracy and integrity as the standard, not the goal.
- You are a methodical problem-solver. You isolate root causes, test assumptions, and can explain what you found and what you changed.
- You manage your own time well, estimate realistically, flag risks early, and deliver what you committed to.
- You ask good questions when a specification is ambiguous rather than guessing, and you confirm before taking actions that are hard to reverse.
- You are curious and learn new platforms, APIs, and tools quickly.
- You collaborate generously, sharing knowledge and valuing the input of the consultants and engineers you work with.
Your Technical Experience (Required)
Enterprise platforms. You have moved data into and out of enterprise business platforms (e.g., DAM, CMS, PIM, ERP, CRM, or similar) and understand how they are put together: data models and field structures, users, groups, and permissions, workflows, and the REST APIs and bulk import and export tooling used to move records and files in and out. Which platforms you have worked with matters less than the fact that you can pick a new one up quickly.
Programming. You are proficient in Python.
- In Python, you write production-quality scripts and small applications against REST APIs, handling authentication, pagination, rate limits, retries, and error logging, and you use libraries such as requests for API work.
- You write SQL to query, join, and validate relational data.
- You work in shared GitHub repositories using branches, pull requests, and code review, and you write code that other people can read and maintain.
Cloud. You have practical, hands-on experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including:
- Object storage (Amazon S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage) and secure bulk transfer of large asset sets using CLI tools, SDKs, and transfer utilities such asrclone or provider transfer services.
- Identity and access management: creating least-privilege roles, service accounts, and credentials, and handling secrets responsibly.
- Serverless compute (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions or Cloud Run) for event-driven processing and integration glue.
- Awareness of cost drivers for storage, egress, and compute, and the ability to estimate and monitor them.
Data and migration.
You have built and run the technical side of at least one migration of records and files between enterprise platforms, such as a DAM, CMS, PIM, ERP, or CRM. Our migrations are programmatic: you have written the scripts or built the repeatable process that extracted, transformed, and loaded assets and metadata at scale. Uploading assets through a platform’s interface, organizing folders, cleaning up spreadsheets by hand, or performing QC on someone else’s migration are useful experience but do not on their own meet this requirement. In doing that work you have handled:
- Extracting content and metadata from legacy systems through APIs, database exports, or file-system crawls.
- Authoring and implementing field-level metadata crosswalks and transformation rules, and working fluently in CSV, JSON, and XML.
- Normalizing values against controlled vocabularies, deduplicating assets, and resolving common data quality problems such as encoding, date formats, and inconsistent identifiers.
- Reading and writing embedded metadata (XMP, IPTC, EXIF) with tools such asExifTool.
- Verifying completeness and integrity with checksums, counts, and reconciliation reports, and documenting exceptions.
Integration.
You have built and documented integrations between enterprise systems, including:
- Designing and consuming REST APIs and webhooks, and working with OAuth 2.0, API keys, and token lifecycles.
- Testing and documenting endpoints and workflows with Postman or an equivalent tool.
- Describing an integration clearly in writing: data contracts, sequence of calls, error handling, and monitoring.
Your Experience (Preferred)
- Experience with enterprise Digital Asset Management platforms such as Orange Logic orAprimo, including their metadata models and taxonomies, asset and rendition structures, and bulk tooling, or hands-on configuration of one.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript.
- Experience with iPaaS or middleware platforms such as Workato, MuleSoft, Power Automate, or Zapier.
- Experience with cloud AI services (Amazon Rekognition and Transcribe, Azure AI Vision and Speech, Google Vertex AI and Gemini) or large language model APIs for metadata generation, and a realistic view of their accuracy and limits.
- Use of AI coding tools such as Codex, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot to accelerate scripting, with a clear understanding of when to trust and when to verify their output.
- Familiarity with digital media formats and rendition workflows, including image, video, and audio codecs, container formats, and transcoding tools such asFFmpeg and ImageMagick.Experience in a consulting or agency environment delivering to specification for multiple concurrent clients.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
