TrueNAS in Makati, Philippines, is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to own the security of our systems, data, and people. This role leads security operations, vulnerability management, incident response, and policy development, working with IT and engineering to build security into daily operations.

The position is in-office (Mon–Fri) 9:00 pm–6:00 am PHT, with a base pay range and 10% target bonus. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to influence security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in IT with at least 4 years in IT security.
• Proven incident response leadership.
• Experience with vulnerability management, access reviews, or security awareness programs.
• Experience with ISO 27001, SOC2 or data privacy compliance.
• Security policy writing and presenting risks to leadership.
• CISSP, CISM, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day security operations and drive long-term security program improvements.
• Manage endpoint monitoring, threat detection, patch compliance, and incident response.
• Conduct user access reviews and enforce least-privilege and MFA policies.
• Design and enforce IT security policies aligned to ISO 27001 and CMMC.
• Establish AI security governance and monitor approved AI use.
• Own patch management for servers/VMs and coordinate maintenance windows.
• Lead audits, risk assessments, and track corrective actions to closure.
• Serve as security SME on IT and business projects and escalate security tickets.

Education

Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering

5+ years IT with 4+ years security

Incident response leadership

ISO 27001 / SOC2 experience

Security policies writing

CISSP / CISM / Lead Implementer / CompTIA Security+
