Job summary

TrueNAS in Makati is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to own the security of our systems, data, and people. This in-office role leads security operations, vulnerability management, incident response, and policy development aligned to ISO 27001 and CMMC.

You will work with IT and network teams to embed security across operations. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4+ years in IT security, with a 5+ year IT background; the base pay is ₱128,692–₱168,069 per month

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in IT/CS/CE or related field.
• 5+ years in IT with 4+ years in IT security role.
• Experience leading incident response from investigation to recovery.
• Experience building/v running vulnerability management or security awareness programs.
• Experience with ISO 27001, SOC2, or data privacy compliance work.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day security operations and drive long-term security program improvements.
• Build and improve endpoint monitoring/detection; manage endpoint protection, patch compliance, and incident response.
• Conduct user access reviews and enforce least-privilege, MFA, and password policies.
• Design and enforce IT security policies aligned to ISO 27001 and CMMC.
• Establish AI security governance and controls for approved AI tool use.
• Own patch management for servers and VMs; coordinate maintenance windows and verify compliance.
• Lead audits, risk assessments, and track corrective actions to closure.
• Serve as security SME on IT/projects and report on posture to management.
• Review firewall rules, VPN, network segmentation; advise on secure configurations.
• Verify backups and DR plans against ransomware; run awareness activities.
• Evaluate new security tools and maintain runbooks and security docs.
